Summary

From the beginning of his law career, Steve concentrated his practice in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, general business and related tax matters. After 33 years practicing in downtown Kansas City with large firms, Steve moved his practice to Eastern Jackson County to found Steven C. Krueger Legal Services LLC. In 2017 he closed his Lee’s Summit office to assume an of counsel position here at the firm.

Steve has experience in all phases of estate planning and administration. He also has experience with business planning, corporate transaction matters, and real estate. Steve also works extensively in forming nonprofit charitable organizations and obtaining tax-exempt status for those organizations.

Steve’s influence extends far and wide in the Kansas City area. In 1992, he was appointed by Governor John Ashcroft to serve as Chairman of the Jackson County Board of Election Commissioners. In 1996, he was elected to the first of three terms on the Blue Springs City Council, serving as Mayor Pro Tem in 2004 and 2005.
