James A. Durbin
Jim resolves conflicts for companies and their owners. A veteran trial attorney, he has represented clients in a wide variety of industries, including firearms and munitions, food and beverage distribution, flooring and furniture, restaurants, tobacco and healthcare services.
Jim focuses his practice on litigation and mediation. He defends disputes involving contract issues, product liability, premises liability and employment law, including claims related to discrimination, harassment and the enforcement of noncompete agreements. Twice Missouri Lawyers Weekly has recognized Jim for the “Defense Verdict of the Year” for cases of tobacco law.
He frequently finds solutions in settlement and mediation, but when litigation is necessary, clients benefit from Jim’s extensive courtroom experience; he has successfully advocated in state and federal courts throughout Missouri and Kansas.
