James R. Mueller
Jim has been with the firm his entire legal career, beginning in 1976. He has been the lead attorney in several national auction and sealed-bid sales of several hundred properties located in more than thirty states. Jim has been involved in trust litigation in both Kansas and Missouri with numerous appellate court and State Supreme Court arguments.
He has extensive experience in drafting estate planning documents and has a thorough knowledge of related tax areas, including fiduciary income taxes, federal estate taxes, generation-skipping transfer taxes and gift taxes. He also has extensive experience in the drafting of commercial leases, purchase and sale contracts, exchange transactions and financing documents.
Jim continues to use his wealth of experience to benefit the community around him. He has been a seminar speaker and author of articles detailing estate planning and taxation matters. He has been continually active within Second Presbyterian Church, serving as a Deacon and Elder and as Moderator of the Personnel Committee, Finance Committee, Nominating Committee, and Board of Deacons.
